Hi! 👋 I am Cristhian, your online English teacher from Spain 🇪🇸. I hold a university degree in English Studies 🎓and a Master’s in Teacher Training 🏫. For over five years, I have dedicated myself to help students like you confidently achieve their English goals. 🚀
My Story 📖
I found my love for English early on, inspired by the people around me. It all started in primary school 📚 where my teachers 👩🏫 made learning English so fun and interesting that I quickly fell in love with the subject. My mum also played a big role. On our car trips 🚗, we would turn our favorite English songs 🎶 into a game 🎮, challenging me to translate the lyrics into Spanish so she could understand them. This joyful, early practice laid the foundations for a lifelong passion 🌱.
I did not stop at just learning English at school; I decided to live the language 🧠. Throughout my high school years, I fully immersed myself in English by switching all of my devices to English and consuming everything I could in English too: books 📖, films 🎬, games 🎮, music 🎵, tv series📺 and even YouTube ▶️. This habit of total immersion is something I still practice today and is a strategy I recommend to all my students. English should not just be a subject; it should be a significant part of your life if you really want to master the language! 🚀
After high school, I was not entirely sure of my path 🗺️, but I knew it had to involve languages. That is what led me to pursue a university degree in English Studies 🎓. It was during that time, by giving private lessons both online 🌐 and in person👥, that I discovered my true calling: teaching 💡. Once I completed my university degree I decided to complete a Master’s in High School Teacher Training 🎓 to deepen my skills.
As a native Spanish speaker myself 🇪🇸, I have faced all of the ups and downs 🎢 that come with learning English. I know the common mistakes 🤯, the difficult grammatical structures, and the moments of frustration 😩 that may come along the process.
